WHAT’S YOUR MAIN TASK?

« Make sure that the production of tabs and their packaging is running smoothly to ensure expected quality.»

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH EUROTAB? IN WHICH POSITIONS?

« I started at Eurotab in 2018 as a line operator in packaging, where I worked for 18 months on an interim basis, working between the two production sites: the manufacture of dishwasher tablets in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, and the production of disinfectant tablets in Saint-Rambert. I then joined the disinfection pastilles production workshop in Saint-Rambert as a line manager on a dedicated line. In January 2022, I moved up to a line manager position where I am now versatile and can be assigned to one of the three lines. At this stage, I have been offered a permanent contract. »

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DAY LIKE?

« When I arrive at the beginning of my shift, I start by taking over from my colleague, who gives me an update on how her shift was going. Once she's gone, I go round my machine to check that there's nothing wrong, then I read the production order.

I also check the time of the last preventive maintenance to inform the maintenance technicians and anticipate the next intervention.

Then I start my checks, which are carried out every 30 minutes: checking the hardness of the tablets, conformity of the labels on the jars and cartons, presence of the date on the caps, as well as the closure of the caps with child safety.
I supervise the overall smooth running of production, making sure that all the products manufactured are compliant.

If a malfunction occurs, I carry out a diagnosis and, if necessary, take action to quickly restart the line. For example, if the label is a problem, I adjust the labeler, or if it’s the cardboard that blocks, I adjust the taping machine. In case of a more complex breakdown, I request the intervention of the maintenance department. At the same time, I make sure to minimize raw material losses and avoid unnecessary downtimes.

Finally, I take the time to fill out the necessary reports and make sure that the line is ready for the next day.

In short, I manage my entire line from the supply to the packaging of bleach tablets.

This position also involves regular interactions with the production forklift driver, the maintenance department and my production manager. »

« I would say be organized, independent and also efficient. You have to have an eye for everything.»

« First, my colleagues! I appreciate the autonomy granted to me and the trust of my manager, which allows me to fully invest myself in my missions and assume responsibilities with serenity. I really appreciate that he trusts me and gives me the responsibility to manage my machine. »

WHAT DRIVES YOU ON A DAILY BASIS?

« My driving force is the working atmosphere and constant support between colleagues. I know I can always count on them. We are a true team, with solidarity and good humour that makes our daily lives more enjoyable and motivating. »

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST PRIDE AT WORK?

« My greatest pride is getting my contract in 2022, a real achievement for me! It was very important for me to have a stable job. As a line driver, I have the opportunity to manage three lines, which allows me to develop great versatility. I am also proud to be involved in the training of new employees for the job of line driver, a three-week training.
I trained a colleague, who also passed his training, it was for me a great satisfaction, I was very happy. Passing on my knowledge and supporting beginners in their learning is always a rewarding experience for me. »
